I knew when I left my corporate career behind and set out as a freelance over 10 years ago that, if I wanted to work with smaller businesses, then I’d have to approach things very differently. Today that approach is firstly about teaching the basic principles of marketing using some very simple explanations and frameworks and then coaching people while they put this into practice – showing them how to apply the knowledge and techniques to their own business.
