Your workshop leaders

Jane Heaton
Jane runs her own marketing consultancy and training business in the Cotswolds, working with a wide range of small businesses and teaching in a variety of settings. She is a local network leader for Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) and teaches regular sessions for Cotswold Women in Business. Jane honed her writing skills while working for brands such as Shell and Cable & Wireless, having started out as a Public Relations Officer for a Birmingham advertising agency. As a writer, she handles long and short copy assignments, from publications to website copy, for companies both large and small. She also writes her own regular marketing newsletter and blog and is available as a guest writer on a range of small business success topics.
Ann Wright
Ann is a television producer specialising in high profile live events. She’s worked on a wide range of programmes include Live8, Remembrance Sunday, Crufts, the wedding of the
Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall and Children in Need. She trained as a journalist, reporting for both national newspapers and specialist journals before joining the BBC. There she also worked on news and current affairs, documentaries and investigative programmes, including the BBC’s Watchdog. Recent projects include the BBC’s Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day programmes, and VE Day commemorations this May.
Janet Knight
Janet is a skilled print journalist who has worked at the highest level, on national newspapers and magazines. She is an expert in green issues and energy efficiency, and a specialist in consumer affairs. She was consumer editor on the Daily Mirror, House Beautiful and Woman's Own magazines and has also written for the Independent, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Family Circle, Homes and Gardens, SHE and Company. Janet is currently a consumer consultant for the Department of Trade and Industry (now known as BERR, Department for Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform) and British Gas.
