JANE HEATON

How I help

Coaching, mentoring, consultancy and practical help for business and marketing people who want to explore new perspectives and do things differently.

As individuals we change and grow and experience many transitions during the course of our working lives – whether we are following a career path, building a business or managing a more diverse work portfolio.

I can help guide and support you with both the ‘inner’ work and the ‘outer’, more visible development work necessary to present yourself and/or market your business in a clear, authentic and effective way. Especially if you have something significant and different to share and want to create valuable content from your ideas, work or IP.

I’ve worked independently for nearly 20 years following a marketing career that started in a small advertising agency and includes regional newspaper publishing and brands such as Shell and Cable & Wireless.

In 2000, after two encounters with redundancy, I started to explore life outside the corporate world. My coaching journey began a few years later and developed alongside my growing interest in helping people build successful, purpose-driven businesses, marketing propositions, and careers around who they really are – whatever ‘success’ means to them.

I’ve enjoyed working with small professional practices, consultants, coaches and trainers. Not-for-profit organisations and local government. Start-ups and bigger, established businesses. Dealing with topics as diverse as school meals, wildfowl and wetlands, green infrastructure, renewable energy and business development training for lawyers.

Jane has an excellent approach to unravelling the myth around what marketing actually is. She has a calm, logical and effective approach to marketing. In particular, her skill in planning a marketing strategy for long term benefits for each business she works with, has been very useful to all the clients I have recommended to Jane. Her unique style in the personal approach she gives to clients with follow up support as needed is so important and reassuring for small businesses.
